Project Description

Deposition Of Coating On Alloy Interconnect

Proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) is a device that converts chemical energy into electric energy and heat energy. It has the advantages of high energy conversion efficiency, rapid start-up, environmental friendliness, quiet work, and high reliability. It has broad application prospects, but currently bipolar The high board manufacturing cost and low volume ratio power seriously restrict the industrialization process of PEMFC. As a key component of PEMFC, the quality of the bipolar plate accounts for 60% to 80% of the entire fuel cell stack and 40% to 60% of the total cost1. The main function of the bipolar plate is to separate the reaction gas. It evenly introduces the reaction gas, collects and conducts current, supports the membrane electrode, and realizes the rapid heat dissipation and drainage of the entire fuel cell system. For this reason, the alloy bipolar plate has good electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance.

How to prepare high-quality fuel cell alloy interconnect?

Ultrasonic coating technology creates highly uniform, repeatable and durable membrane. It operates through continues vibration from the nozzle to break up the agglomerated particles into evenly dispersed functional particles, maximizing surface area exposure of the catalyst to create higher electrochemical performance of coatings. And when using the ultrasonic spray coating technology apply catalyst coating to the membranes by adjusting the spray parameters (height, flow rate and frequency of the nozzle) to control the rate of water added, because it needs to keep the thin membrane moist and not deformed.
