Cheersonic Ultrasonic Components for Food Cutting

Typical ultrasonic food cutting components include four major elements: a power supply, a converter, a booster and an ultrasonic blade horn, as explained below.

①Power Supplies/Ultrasonic Generators
The ultrasonic power supply, also referred to as a generator. The ultrasonic power supply converts standard 50/60 Hz current into at ultrasonic frequencies: 20, 30, and 40 kHz. Cheersonic’s ultrasonic power supplies, which can be remotely activated by a PLC, offer superior features such as automatic tuning, line voltage and load regulation circuitry and fine tune output control. The 20 kHz frequency, in which the horn is vibrating 20,000 times per second, is the most commonly used frequency in the industry.

②Converters
The ultrasonic converter is a sealed mechanical device that receives the 20 kHz electrical energy from the power supply and converts this electrical energy to high frequency mechanical vibrations.

③Boosters
Boosters used to maintain, decrease or increase the amplitude of the cutting blade/horn. Also acts as mounting point for integration. Offered in titanium or aluminum.

④Ultrasonic Blade Horns
The ultrasonic blade is the component that connected to the booster and does the actual cutting. The horn is made from titanium and can be used for slitting products, has excellent acoustic properties, good surface hardness and superior value. Our ultrasonic components and horns are designed for continuous operation under the most demanding production environments.
