Ultrasonic Cut
Depending on the application, it is possible to cut with the respective sonotrode vertically, horizontally or continuously ( sewing sonotrode per disc ). As cutting tools, sonotrodes are comparatively free from wear. Because they are cold during ultrasonic cutting or punching , they can be used efficiently in multiple materials. In the food industry , these can be, eg types of cheeses, bakeries and confectioneries, raw pasta or frozen products. The respective sonotrodes divide the food in a precise manner, using ultrasonic vibrations. The cutting itself is simpler than cutting with conventional knives, Due to the reduction of force by the vibration of the cutting tool. In this way there is no deformation by pressure or crushing of the food.
